Through the multiple highs and lows of life, Praise Girls has been the constant for me. The way we interact together has really helped me see things in a way that I wouldn’t have on my own. God is so good!

Know the Truth. Live the Truth. It Changes Everything.

I forget how important confessing really is. And maybe that's the very reason some days I have an unexplainable, heavy feeling inside of me, and I can still find myself resistant to forgiving in some situations. But I want to change this. I want to mature in this. I know I won't do this perfectly. But that doesn't mean I don't try at all.

And as you and I make progress in this, there's also a distinction we must remember: Feeling angry is different from living angry. Feeling offended is different from living offended. Feeling wronged is different from living wronged. Feeling resentment is different from living resentful.

Jesus knew we'd have all these feelings, especially when there's so much unpredictability in our circumstances, our relationships and even our own emotions. So Jesus gives us the Lord's Prayer to pray each day, helping us get ahead of all we'll face today with confession and forgiveness.

Praise Girl, the best time to forgive is before we are ever offended. The next best time to forgive is right now. Let's walk in the ways of our Savior today.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for teaching me how to pray … not necessarily the prayer I always want to pray but the prayer I need to pray. Help me remember today that confession and forgiveness are good for my heart, that they help lessen the chaos and lift the heaviness I sometimes feel deep inside. In Jesus' name, amen.
